Chevrolet is a brand rooted in the American spirit of personal independence, achievement and optimism, and over the next 12 months it is rolling out a range of new vehicles. While some advertisers say that less is more, Chevrolet is offering an exciting new challenge where hopefully more will be more. With the help of crowd sourcing giant MOFILM and famed Avatar producer Jon Landau, Idea Bounty is hosting a new user-generated content (UGC) contest to highlight the passion and Practicality of Chevrolet automobiles. Participants are encouraged to create a TV commercial script which communicates the spirited yet enduring, imaginative yet real, exciting yet dependable and the inspiring yet affordable nature of the new Chevrolet vehicles. The objective of the TV commercial is three-fold. It should get new car buyers between the ages of 25-49 who have previously only considered other brands, to make people feel that Chevrolet offers something attractive and unique in the market, and should capture the core of the brand using the dramatic iconic cars that highlight the brands assets. The new range of vehicles launching from Chevrolet meet customers’ needs across different budgets including the Captiva, Cruze, Spark, Camaro, Corvette and Volt; which will be launched in 2011. Submissions should include your best description that gets your overall idea across. scripts should be 30-60 seconds in length and can be supported by visuals such as a story board, video or any other interesting stimulus - as long as it brings your ideas to life. The grand prize winner of Chevrolet’s Passion and Practicality contest will receive $7500 as well their idea will appear as the next Chevrolet TV commercial produced by Landau.
