ABC’s drama LOST is in its final season this year and in celebration is hosting the Ultimate LOST Fan Promo contest to become a part of the final episode event and the chance to have their work broadcast across a national network. Participants can create a 35 second promotional video submission between now and March 21, 2010. Registration can be done on any of the host sites including ABC.com, and have access to a series of clips, audio, sound effects and more. There are four ways to enter the contest including, creating a mash-up using the contest editing tool and provided assets, create your own piece using your own software, create your own video with material you own all the rights to, or creating a submission with a combination of provided assets and personal material. Phase one of the contest will see all of the entries subject to judgement based on creativity, originality and value of the entry as a promotional tool which will encourage viewing of the LOST series finale. The top 20 entries with the highest score as determined by public voting will move into phase two of the judging period. The top 20 entries will then move into the second phase and be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of sponsor representatives. The top five semi-finalists with the highest score will move into the public voting period. Entries will be exhibited on ABC.com and the grand prize winner will be determined by the end of March. The grand prize winner will have their entry aired as a part of a promotional piece during the break of one of this season’s episodes of LOST. In addition, the winner and a guest will receive a trip to Los Angeles, California to attend a LOST party in May 2010.
