Know anyone who’s looking to make a big change in their life? Have them share their experience on SecondAct.com, a website for those who are looking to begin a “second act” in life. The website is scheduled to appear in late March or early April of 2010 and will be launched by California-based Entrepreneur magazine. It is targeted toward “boomers” but can be for everyone who wants to make a major change in their lives. The site will feature content on travel, starting a business, finance management, purchasing a vacation home and trying new foods and wine. Content will be created by celebrity bloggers, experts and the users themselves. “For several years we have been looking at different markets that are complimentary to what we do best,” Ryan Shea said, president and corporate publisher of Entrepreneur magazine. “After much research it became more apparent that this market is under served—but more importantly, from an audience perspective, it is growing exponentially.” The site will not sell memberships, insurance or take a political stance as other competing sites do. Instead it will make money solely from online advertising. Entrepreneur magazine provides content for and about entrepreneurs. Entrepreneur.com is the most widely used website by entrepreneurs and emerging businesses worldwide.
