Samsung inspires people to Blue the Earth

Samsung Mob!le, the mobile phone company has partnered with Current Media to launch a user-generated ad campaign in the United Kingdom and Italy to promote the brand’s environmentally friendly eco-phone Blue Earth. The ecologically sound and environmentally conscious phone is made from recyclable materials, including the solar panel which powers the device. Samsung is celebrating its commitment to a Blue Earth with an online user-generated content (UGC) video contest. Participants are asked to create a short, 30 second video with Blue Earth spirit showing Samsung how it can bring the WOW into your mobile life. Entrants will need to join the Samsung Mobile group online and upload their video advertisement inspiring people to Blue the Earth. The Samsung Blue Earth mobile must be mentioned within the video as well as the exclamation mark Samsung is incorporating into the word ‘Mob!le’ to emphasize the energy it has for this project. Each advertisement should be created with the intent that it could be used on television. Therefore videos should include end tags that are provided on the contest page in the assets section. Four grand prize winners, and producers will be awarded 1250 GBP and the opportunity to have their videos air on Current TV and samsungmobile.com.
